Turkish drones target Syria’s Hasakah following threats

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Turkish drones targeted on early Thursday  two locations in the northwestern countryside of Hasakah, northeastern Syria, following Turkish threats to attack northern Syria.

A security source told North Press a Turkish drone targeted a factory in the village of Misherfa al-Hima in northwestern Hasakah. Two hours later, it targeted a vehicle near the first location.

In the last attack, two individual were injured in a preliminary toll. They were taken to hospital for treatment  

On Wednesday, Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) stated a Turkish drone strike targeted a brick factory in Hasakah injuring four civilians.

Principal Deputy Spokesperson of US Department of State, Vedant Patel, said in a press briefing that the US is concerned about any military escalation that can be launched by Turkey in northern Syria, particularly about its impact on civilian populations in the region following threats made by Turkish officials of expanding attacks in Syria and Iraq.

The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) called on the international community to address Turkish threats of attacking northeast Syria.

The source said the Turkish drones are still hovering over Hasakah.
