Iranian militias, government shell SDF-held Hajin in eastern Syria

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Syrian government forces and Iranian militias shelled on Monday the town of Hajin, which is held by the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and is located in east of the Euphrates River, in eastern Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.

Several areas in Deir ez-Zor are witnessing a state of security tension as the Syrian government continues to send gunmen and weapons to SDF-held areas in east of the Euphrates, with the aim of targeting the SDF.

Field sources in Hajin reported that more than three mortar and artillery shells targeted the command center of the Internal Security Forces (Asayish) in the town.

Furthermore, they said that Asayish forces shelled back using RPGs the area from which the artillery shells came from, which is west of the river.

The town is currently witnessing general alert, according the source.
