CENTCOM forces arrest ISIS facilitator in helicopter raid in north Syria

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – The US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Saturday their forces carried out a helicopter raid on Sep. 28 in northern Syria and arrested an Islamic State (ISIS) facilitator.

The CENTCOM said, in a press release, “Mamduh Ibrahim al-haji Shaykh, an ISIS Facilitator,” without providing further information.

Lt. Col. Troy Garlock, CENTCOM spokesperson, said “USCENTCOM remains committed to the enduring defeat of ISIS.”

“No civilians were injured or killed during this operation,” the statement added.

On Sep. 23, the US CENTCOM forces carried out a helicopter raid in northern Syria and arrested Abu Halil al-Fad’ani, an ISIS Syria Operational and Facilitation official.
