Unknown gunmen attack SDF fighter in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Unidentified gunmen wounded on Friday a fighter of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source within the SDF said armed individuals riding a motorcycle shot at SDF fighter, Omar al-Nasser, 26, near a water canal on the outskirts of the village of al-Hejnah in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.
Al-Nasser was taken to a field medical center in the town and is in good health condition, the source added, citing a nurse in the medical center.
The source noted that al-Nasser was off-duty when he was targeted and shot.
Two days earlier, an SDF military post was attacked with machineguns in the town of Sabha in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, without causing any casualties.
