HTS puts military on high alert in Syria’s Jarablus

IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) put its factions on high alert amid threats of capturing al-Hamran crossing, in the countryside of the city of Jarablus, northern Aleppo Governorate, north Syria.

Opposition media outlets reported that, “the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), removed the earthen barriers on the road of the city of Azaz, north Aleppo. They also reported that a faction of al-Waqas Brigade, affiliate with the SNA, mobilized military gatherings in the city of Marea.

The sources further added that the SNA blocked roads to the cities of Marea and Akhtarin, northern Aleppo, amid contradictory information about massive military convoy of the HTS roaming the city of Afrin, northwest Syria.

The sources also added that the SNA is preparing to capture al-Hamran crossing, after sending 1,500 of its militants to Ahrar al-Sham, a faction affiliated with the SNA in Afrin.

Al-Hamran crossing was captured by the HTS on October 13, 202.
