Turkish-backed SNA assaults 3 Kurdish people in Syria’s Sere Kaniye

SERE KANIYE, Syria (North Press) – On Sunday, militants of the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), attacked three Kurdish individuals in the town of Mabrouka, west of the city of Sere Kaniye (Ras al-Ain) in northeastern Syria.

An exclusive source told North Press that “a group belonging to Abu Shlash al-Sha’iti, a militant of Ahrar al-Sharqiya faction, affiliated with the SNA, brutally assaulted and insulted three Kurdish individuals. They were then taken to one of the headquarters of that faction, and their fate is unknown.”

The source added that the assault took place in the presence of a patrol belonging to the Turkish-backed Military Police faction, who did not intervene to stop the attack on the three individuals.

The source pointed out that this attack is the fourth of its kind against Kurdish individuals in the recent period in SNA-controlled areas. Additionally, there have been arbitrary arrests targeting Kurds under various pretexts, including accusations of collaborating with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
