Unknown gunmen wound 3 HTS militants in NW Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Three militants of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS – formerly al-Nusra Front) were injured on Sunday after their military vehicle was targeted on Atma road in northern Idlib Governorate, northwest Syria.
An exclusive source told North Press that “unidentified gunmen attacked a military vehicle belonging to the General Security Service (GSS) of the HTS on the Atma-Aqrabat road in northern Idlib with light machine guns and fled.”
The source added that the attack resulted in the injury of three militants, who were transported to Atma Hospital.
The source mentioned that the HTS imposed a security cordon around the site of the attack and closed the road for approximately an hour.
The source also indicated that this was the fourth targeting operation during September, with a total of two fatalities and nine injuries among the HTS militants due to these attacks, without the group being able to determine the perpetrators.
