SDF reveals toll of foiled SNA attacks, losses in Syria’s Manbij
MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) revealed on Sunday the toll of foiled attacks by the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions, aka the Syrian National Army (SNA), on villages on contact lines in Manbij, northern Syria, and their human and material losses.
The Media Center of the SDF said in a statement that the SNA factions escalated their attacks on contact lines in Manbij in tandem with the tension and clashes between the SDF and gunmen affiliated with Syrian government forces and Iranian-backed militias in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The center revealed the killing of 53 SNA militants and the injury of 127 others, in addition to the destruction of nine armored vehicles and six heavy DShK weapons. They also targeted 61 positions and seized various amounts of weapons, ammunition, equipment and two drones.
The statement also said that one government soldier was killed and four others were injured.
The SNA factions killed five civilians, wounded four others and kidnapped two individuals, according to the center.
Additionally, three fighters of the MMC were killed and six others sustained injuries while repelling SNA attacks.
Turkish forces and SNA factions launched attacks on the villages of Kawkli, Umm Adasa, al-Yashli, Arab Hassan, al-Mehsenli, Awn al-Dadat, Alqana, Yalenli, al-Buyahj, al-Boghaz, Sayyada, Meheimida, Tokhar, al-Jat, and Kor Hyuk.
Four members of the Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) were killed during a patrol in a village in Manbij. In addition, a member of the Military Relations Office in MMC ,Bozan Osman, was killed in an IED blast.
