Asayish arrest drug traders in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Internal Security Forces of North and East Syria (Asayish) announced on Tuesday that their forces have arrested two individuals involved in drug trafficking in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.

The Asayish said, in a statement, “As part of the pursuit of drug traders and traffickers, and after surveillance and monitoring operations, our forces have apprehended two individuals in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor who were involved in drug trafficking.”

The Asayish said that the individuals were apprehended with “290 grams of hashish paste, a quantity of crystal methamphetamine, 3 Tramadol ampoules, and 100 narcotic pills” in their possession.
