Two members of pro-government militia wounded in Deir ez-Zor city
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Two members of the National Defense Forces (NDF), a pro-Syrian government militia, were shot at and wounded by unidentified gunmen in the city of Deir ez-Zor, eastern Syria.
A military source from the NDF in Deir ez-Zor city said that two unknown gunmen riding a motorcycle opened fire on two militiamen who work as guards for NDF commander Firas al-Jaham with machine guns while the members were touring the city of Deir ez-Zor on a motorcycle.
He added to North Press that the attack resulted in one member being shot twice in the hip and hand, while the other was shot in the foot. They were subsequently taken to a field hospital in the city. “One of them is in a critical condition and the other is in good health.”
