American NGO provides medical aid to Syria’s Deir ez-Zor
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – An American non-governmental organization (NGO) provided on Saturday medical aid to the town of al-Baghouz in Deir ez-Zor Governorate, eastern Syria.
The US-led Global Coalition and the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council, affiliated with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES), coordinated with an American NGO to provide essential medical support to a clinic in al-Baghouz town, a source from the Coalition told North Press.
The aid came to improve “the quality of essential services available to residents and reduced the distance civilians need to travel for adequate treatment,” the source said.
He added that both the Coalition and the Deir ez-Zor Civil Council remain committed to supporting the residents of the region.
The town of al-Baghouz was ISIS last stronghold which fell in March 2019 at the hands of the SDF and the Global Coalition.
