Syria, Saudi Arabia conclude agreement to resume commercial ties

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) Yesterday, June 12, the Syrian Chamber of Commerce concluded an agreement with the Saudi government to resume economic cooperation, as well as commercial and investment activities.

The agreement was made at a meeting between the Chairman of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan bin Mujib Al-Huwaizi, and his Syrian counterpart, Muhammad Abu Al-Huda Al-Lahham, in Riyadh.

The members of the Syrian delegation expressed their appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s stances towards Syria, also praising the great development witnessed by the Kingdom.

The Syrian delegation expressed the desire of the country’s business sector to enter the Saudi market in order to invest in various economic sectors.

The two agreed to organize trade delegations to visit each other’s countries and enable investors to see opportunities available in both countries.

The two sides also agreed on the urgent need to establish economic forums in order to advance economic cooperation between the two countries.

According to Syrian state media, the meeting took place on the sidelines of an Arab-Chinese Business Conference held in Riyadh.
