Non-commissioned officer wounded in IED blast in Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – A non-commissioned officer of the Syrian government forces was wounded on Monday in an IED explosion in the eastern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.

Sources in the region told North Press, “Unidentified assailants targeted the vehicle of the non-commissioned officer, aka as Abu Nawras, with an IED, which they planted on the road to Atman, north of Daraa.”

The source added that Abu Nouras was injured and subsequently transferred to the Daraa National Hospital, where his condition was described as stable.

The targeted officer hails from Latakia Governorate, and he is in charge of the government’s Military Security Branch in the town of Atman in central Daraa, according to the same source.
