North Press Agency through the Monitoring and Documentation Department has become on Tuesday an official member of the Every Casualty Counts (ECC).
North Press has formed the Monitoring and Documentation Department late in 2022. It works on documenting the victims of the human rights violations in Syria in dedicated databases to depend on it in writing objective reports and case studies in addition to stories and testimonies of the survivors and victims.
The department has communicated with the ECC and held joint meetings. As a result, North Press Agency has gained its membership on Tuesday.
The ECC includes NGOs, academic institutions, and research projects worldwide. It has a special consultative status with the United Nations.
This partnership will promote the work of the Department to convey the suffering of the victims of the Syrian conflict through its reports, international meetings, and other activities that will shed light on the war victims.
The Monitoring and Documentation Department of North Press Agency works on documenting the violations that take place against Syrians, including cases of killing, kidnapping, arbitrary arrest, and other issues that affect the rights of civilians, and archives them in special databases. It also presents statistics within monthly, semi-monthly and annual reports, in addition to presenting thematic reports on many societal issues in which the rights of the Syrians are violated, and formulating them in the human rights and journalistic methods.
