Two civilians killed in eastern Daraa
DARAA, Syria (North Press) – Two brothers were killed on Monday by unknown gunmen in a town in the eastern countryside of Daraa, southern Syria.
A local source told North Press, “The two brothers, Ahmad and Muhammad Mustafa al-Radi, were shot dead by unknown gunmen in the town of Nassib in the eastern countryside of Daraa.”
The brothers were civilians and worked in repairing electrical appliances, the source said, adding they had not joined any military formation.
The source noted that the residents of the town pointed fingers at members of a nearby checkpoint of the Syrian government forces.
Since the Syrian government reclaimed Daraa from armed opposition factions in 2018, the region has been a hotbed of violence.
