Iraqi forces killed five ISIS militants in Iraq’s Diyala
ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – On Friday, Iraqi forces killed five militants of the Islamic State (ISIS) in two airstrikes in Diyala Governorate east the country.
Iraqi Joint Forces Command said in a statement, “Two successful airstrikes targeted hideouts and caves of the terrorist ISIS in Diyala Governorate, killing five terrorists.”
Earlier today, Iraqi forces arrested an ISIS militant in Saladin Governorate and three others in the city of Kirkuk northern Iraq.
Recently, ISIS has increased its activities, targeting Iraqi security forces despite intensive joint operations in participation with the US-led Global Coalition to defeat the group and its sleeper cells.
