CENTCOM conducts 37 operations against ISIS in March in Syria, Iraq
QAMIHSLI, Syria (North Press) – US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced on Tuesday conducting 37 operations against Islamic State (ISIS) in March, killing 9 militants and injuring 18 others in Syria and Iraq.
The CENTCOM tweeted that it carried out 9 operations in Syria in coordination with US-led Global Coalition to Defeat ISIS and Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), killing two ISIS militants and injuring eleven others.
While in Iraq, it carried out 28 partnered operations, resulting in the death of seven ISIS militants and the injury of seven others.
Joe Buccino, the CENTCOM spokesperson said, “Though its capability is degraded, ISIS retains the ability to direct and inspire attacks in the region and abroad.
