4.3 magnitude earthquake hits Syria’s Aleppo
DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – National Earthquake Center (NEC) of Syria announced on Friday that a 4.3-magnitude earthquake struck northwest of the city of Aleppo.
The center said, in a statement, that the earthquake struck at 1:57 pm.
The center recorded nine earthquakes, less than 3.6 magnitude, during the past 24 hours.
Four of the aforementioned earthquakes hit Iskenderun and five hit Turkey.
On Feb. 6, a 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck southern Turkey and Syria, killing hundreds in both countries and causing wide destruction and displacement of thousands of people.
