6 members of Syrian government forces injured in IED in Deir ez-Zor
DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Six members of National Defense of Syrian government forces were injured on Saturday, after an IED exploded in their car, in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor, a governorate eastern Syria.
A military source of the National Defense in Deir ez-Zor told North Press that an IED planted on the route near Badia Nadera, south of Jabal al-Bashari, exploded in a truck carrying a group of members of the Natioanl Defense, as they were going to collect truffle in the western desert of Deir ez-Zor.
Six members, who hail from Deir ez-Zor, were injured and the truck was damaged, the source added.
In truffle hunting season, hundreds of truffle hunters have gone missing under mysterious circumstances, some of whom were killed by militants or mines, while others were kidnapped. The fate of many is still unknown.
