Syria says Israel attacked Aleppo International Airport

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Early on Wednesday, an Israeli airstrike targeted Aleppo International Airport, northern Syria, causing material damage, in a second attack this month, Syria’s state-run news agency SANA reported.

SANA quoted an unnamed military official as saying the strike caused no deaths or injuries.

It said warplanes fired the missiles toward Aleppo while flying over the Mediterranean.

On March 7, an Israeli airstrike put the airport out of service for several days.

Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes inside Syria over the past few years targeting what it says Iranian-backed militia’s strongholds.
