ISIS logistics officer killed in Daraa city

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – An operative of the Islamic State (ISIS) was killed on Sunday in an armed attack by unidentified gunmen in the city of Daraa, south Syria.

A local source told North Press, “Nader Khalaf Abu Nbout, nicknamed ‘Abu Jazwan’, was killed after he was targeted by gunmen riding a motorcycle in the al-Abbasiya neighborhood in the city of Daraa.”

The source added that Abu Nbout had worked with an armed group headed by the so-called ‘Muhammad al-Masalma’, nicknamed ‘Hefo’, which is an ISIS-affiliated group.

The source noted that “Abu Nbout was smuggling food and ammunition to ISIS gunmen while they were besieged by a government-affiliated armed group in the Tariq al-Sadd neighborhood three months ago.”

“Abu Nbout stayed out of sight after ISIS members fled the neighborhood, but he emerged a month ago,” he said.

The group, which Abu Nbout was working for, contained dozens of ISIS members who fled from the town of Jassem after a military operation against them by government-affiliated militias in September 2022.
