ISIS claims attack on two SDF fighters in eastern Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – The Islamic State (ISIS) claimed on Monday responsibility for targeting fighters of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) in a town in eastern Deir ez-Zor, east Syria. 

ISIS-affiliated Amaq news agency published a statement saying the group’s gunmen targeted SDF fighters in the town of Abu Hardub in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor.

The targeting was carried out by pistols and resulted in killing a fighter and injuring the other, the statement said.

On February 22, ISIS claimed responsibility for attacking an SDF checkpoint near the town of Daman, in al-Suwar district, 70 km north of Deir ez-Zor.
