Quake aid reaches Aleppo’s Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafiyeh

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, nine convoys onboard humanitarian aid entered Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafiyeh in the city of Aleppo two weeks after the earthquake that hit north Syria on February 6.

A local source told North Press, “Nine convoys onboard humanitarian aid entered Ashrafiya and Sheikh Maqsoud.” 

The source added the convoy included “tents, bed mattresses, blankets, kitchen items and clothes.”

A team of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent accompanied the aid.

The source added convoys loaded with aid still await to enter the two neighborhoods.

Relief Committee of the Syrian Arab Red Crescent pledged to allow 21 convoys of aid to the two neighborhoods as soon as possible, according to the source.
