Kurdish Red Crescent installs tents anticipating any emergencies
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, Kurdish Red Crescent installed a number of tents in the city of Qamishli to accommodate locals in case of occurrence of any earthquakes, while the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) appealed to international organizations to render aid to its associations.
Ahmad Ibrahim, an administrator in the Kurdish Red Crescent told North Press, “We welcome anyone that needs aid via our accommodation centers that render humanitarian and hygiene related services.”
“In Qamishli, we have installed 12 tents, six in March 12 Stadium and six others in Haytham Kicho Stadium in anticipation of new earthquakes,” he added.
For his part, in a press conference in the city of Qamishli, Co-chair of the AANES Executive Council of the Jazira Region (Hasakah governorate), Talaat Younes, appealed to international organizations to render aid to AANES’ associations and medication centers to stand to such incidents.
“We have raised the alert in all associations in the Jazira Region and northeast Syria,” Younes said.
