Turkish border guards kill 4 Syrians since early 2023 – VDC-NSY

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – Turkish border guards have killed four Syrian civilians and wounded more than 41 others while crossing Syrian-Turkish border since early 2023, Documentation Violations Center in Northern Syria (VDC-NSY) reported on Thursday.

The VDC-NSY said, in a report, that some of the wounded people were permanently disabled due to being aggressively beaten by the Turkish border guards.

On January 31, the border guards aggressively assaulted three Syrian children from the town of Amuda in the west of the city of Qamishli, northeast Syria, while they were trying to illegally cross the border and get into Turkey, according to the VDC-NSY.

The Turkish border guards killed 46 Syrians including two women and five children in various areas near Turkish border in 2022, VDC-NSY revealed on January 2.
