DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Monday, unknown assailants targeted a bus transporting Syrian government soldiers in Daraa’s east with an IED, injuring 15 riders.

A local source told North Press, “15 government members were injured with varying degrees of severity, after their bus was targeted by an IED in the town of Khirbat Ghazaleh in the eastern countryside of Daraa.”

The source added that four ambulances headed towards the site. Twelve of the wounded were taken to the Daraa National Hospital, while the other three were transferred to hospitals in Damascus as they had sustained severe injuries.

The source noted that nearly 20 military vehicle and more than 50 soldiers were deployed to the scene following the incident.
