Mine explodes with tractor in Syria’s Hama, kills young man
HAMA, Syria (North Press) – A young man lost his life on Sunday in a landmine blast of war remnants in northwest Hama, western Syria.
Local sources from the area told North Press, “A landmine exploded with a young man in a tractor while he was working in a farmland near the village of Khirbet al-Naqous in al-Ghab Plain, northwest Hama.”
The sources added that the explosion killed 21-year-old Anas Ahmad al-Saeed who hails from the town of Allej in Idlib governorate.
Landmines and other war remnants continue to kill dozens of civilians in Syria, mostly children and young men, with no party taking upon itself to remove them.
