ISIS militant killed in Syria’s Daraa

DARAA, Syria (North Press) – On Tuesday, a militant affiliated with a cell of the Islamic State (ISIS) was killed by unknown gunmen in Daraa, southern Syria.

A local source told North Press, “Rabi’ Safi al-Masalama was killed in an attack by unknown gunmen in the countryside of al-Nakhla, on the outskirts of Daraa.”

The source added that al-Masalma was a member of a cell affiliated with ISIS operating under the leadership of Muhammad Abdulrahman al-Masalama, also known as Hefo.

Al-Masalamah is an ISIS militants who fought in the group’s military campaign in Daraa’s Tariq al-Saad two months ago. As the fighting waned, he was able to escape the area unnoticed. No one is sure how.

On Friday, Muhammad Ali al-Shagouri, suspected of working on behalf of ISIS, and two of his accomplices were killed in a raid on his house in the town of al- Muzayrib, in west Daraa.
