Landmine explosion Kills Child, Wounds Five in Syria’s Azaz

ALEEPO, Syria ( North Press) – On Wednesday, a landmine explosion killed a child and wounded five other individuals in the village of Nada east of Azaz, north of Aleppo.

A local source told North Press, “A landmine planted in a farmland in Nada east of Azaz exploded, killing one child and wounding five other individuals.”

The wounded were taken to Azaz National Hospital, some of them were critically injured, the source added.

The city of Azaz has been under the control of Turkish-backed armed Syrian opposition factions, also known as the Syrian National Army (SNA), since 2012.

Areas under the SNA witness constant fighting between the factions themselves, leading to instability and chaos.
