Turkish drone hits village near Syria’s Hasakah city

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone struck on Tuesday evening a village near the western entrance of Hasakah city, northeastern Syria.

A military source told North Press, “A Turkish drone targeted the village of Tel Tawil Marcho, around 2 km north of Hasakah city.”

The source added, “The attack caused casualties and a state of panic among the village’s residents.”

This is the farthest attack launched by Turkey deep inside the Syrian territory since targeting the vicinity of Hawl Camp in October 2022. Before that, Turkish assaults were limited to hitting border areas.
