Opposition shelling kills 3 government soldiers in Syria’s Idlib – Khmeimim
IDLIB, Syria (NORTH PRESS) – Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria declared on Friday the death of three soldiers of Syrian government forces and the injury of four others due to bombardment by opposition factions in Idlib, northwest Syria.
Deputy Chief of the Russian Reconciliation Center, Major General Oleg Yegorov, said in a statement, “Three Syrian soldiers were killed and four more were wounded as a result of artillery and mortar shelling staged by terrorists from the settlement of Kansarfa in the Idlib governorate at the positions of government troops near the settlement of Maaret Muhos.”
He added that during the last 24 hours seven “shelling attacks” by militants of “Jabhat al-Nusra terrorist group” were monitored, four of which were in Idlib and three others in Hama.
He stressed no “ceasefire violations” by Kurdish groups in northeast Syria have been monitored.
