Turkish forces shell village in north of Syria’s Manbij

MANBIJ, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces shelled on Wednesday the village of Tokhar Saghir in the northern countryside of Manbij, northern Syria.

A local source told North Press, “Turkish forces shelled the village of Tokhar with a rocket launched from its outpost in the village of Tokhar Kabir.”

The source added that the rocket caused material damage and sparked fear and panic among the villagers.

The village is inhabited with civilians, but there is a military post of the Syrian government forces on the north, the source said.

On December 14, the village was targeted by Turkish mortars, causing damage to residents’ properties.
