Body of government soldier, his wife found in Syria’s Deir ez-Zor

DEIR EZ-ZOR, Syria (North Press) – Residents of a town east of Deir ez-Zor, east Syria, found on Sunday the bodies of a soldier of the Syrian government forces and his wife killed with a sharp tool inside their house.

A local source from the town of al-Abbas, 90 kilometers east of Deir ez-Zor, said residents of the town found the bodies of the 32-year-old Wahab al-Faisal and his wife killed with a sharp tool inside their house, which is situated in the vicinity of the town.

The source told North Press, citing a forensic doctor, that the two bodies were hit and tortured before the killing, which happened no less than 48 hours earlier.  

Al-Faisal, who hails from the town of al-Meri’iyaeh east of Deir ez-Zor, resides with his wife in al-Abbas where he operates, according to the source.

On Dec. 7, residents of the town of al-Suwar in the northern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, found the body of Kamal al-Nuhairi, a man in his thirties and a member of the SDF killed by several gunshots.
