Turkish Intelligence arrests 4 people in Syria’s Afrin

AFRIN, Syria (North Press) – Turkish Intelligence, in collaboration with Sham Legion, a faction of the Turkish-backed Syrian National Army (SNA), raided on Tuesday a village in the countryside of Afrin, north of Aleppo, and arrested four people, including a woman.

A source told North Press that five vehicles of the Turkish Intelligence raided at about 9 am a farm on the outskirt of the village of Kafr Safra, in the countryside of the town of Jindires, and arrested three young men and a woman, accused of previously dealing with the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES).

The detainees are farmers from the area and the arrest came in collaboration with Abu al-Nour, a leader of Sham Legion, he added.

The source added that the arrest came for personal reasons related to the leader, as he had previously tried to seize the farm. Then, he resorted to accusing the detainees of being operatives in the AANES, leading the Turkish Intelligence to arrest them and taking them to unknown destination.

Violations Documentation Center in Northern Syria (VDC-NSY) said that 26 people were arrested by the SNA in Afrin since the beginning of November.
