Turkish drone strike wounds two people in Syria’s Qamishli

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A Turkish drone targeted a commercial vehicle on Wednesday evening in al-Gharbi neighborhood in the city of Qamishli, northeast Syria, wounding two people.

Eye witnesses said that the vehicle was targeted near al-Qarmouti roundabout in the city and was completely destroyed.

The two wounded people Hussein Majdi , 45, head of municipality of Himo village, and Rezan Gallo were taken  to a hospital, according to the eye witness.

A medical source, who spoke on condition of anonymity, revealed that Majdi is in a stable condition while Gallo is still in the ER with no further details.

Few hours earlier, the city’s Jernek neighborhood, close to the Turkish border, was subjected to Turkish shelling which resulted in the displacement of its residents.

Multiple areas, especially near oil fields in northeast Syria, witnessed during the day Turkish shelling and drone strikes in the fourth day of the Turkish attack against the area.
