Syrian government reveals losing soldiers in Turkish attacks on its territory

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Syria’s Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday the killing of a number of its soldiers in Turkish airstrikes on the countryside of Hasakah and Aleppo governorates, without showing any stances towards the attacks.

On Saturday evening, the Turkish forces launched airstrikes on the city of Kobani, the countryside of Derik (al-Malikiyah), the northern countryside of Aleppo and the northern countryside of Hasakah, with several airstrikes, as some of them targeted posts of the government forces.

The ministry said on its official page on Facebook that a number of its soldiers were killed due to the Turkish airstrikes on the northern countryside of Aleppo and Hasakah early this morning.

The Syrian government has not released any official statements about the Turkish attacks on areas in north and northeastern Syria till the moment.

Earlier this morning, 10 soldiers of the government forces were killed and five others were wounded in the Turkish airstrikes that targeted the village of Shawargha, in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

Three members of Syrian government forces were killed and another was injured as a result of the Turkish airstrikes on military posts of the government forces in the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), in the northern countryside of Hasakah Governorate, in northeast Syria, in the early hours of the day.
