Turkish airstrikes of Syria’s Hasakah kill 3 members of government forces

HASAKAH, Syria (North Press) – Three members of Syrian government forces were killed and another was injured as a result of Turkish airstrikes on a town in the northern countryside of Hasakah Governorate in northeast Syria in the early hours of Sunday.

The city of Kobani in northern Syria and other areas in the northeast on the border with Turkey were subjected on early Sunday to bombing by Turkish warplanes.

An informed military source told North Press that the Turkish aircraft launched airstrikes on the town of Zirgan (Abu Rasin), north of Hasakah, targeting military posts of the government forces.

The airstrikes resulted in the killing of three soldiers and the injury of another, the source added.

Russian forces which are there to supervise the 2019 ceasefire agreement intervened to hospitalize the victims to the Security Square of the city of Hasakah which is under the control of the government forces.
