Car targeted in Syria’s Qamishli, reports of casualties

QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A car was targeted with an improvised explosive device (IED) on Sunday evening on the Western Belt road in the city of Qamishli, amid reports of casualties.

On Sunday evening at around 6 pm, a blast was heard on the Western Belt in the city of Qamishli. 

Local sources told North Press that a number of people were transferred to hospitals due to the explosion.

The sources said that the car’s blast was caused by a IED planted to the car.  

The Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) is yet to comment on the incident.
