Russia orders about 2.000 Iranian drones – Ukraine

QAMIHSLI, Syria (North Press) – Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday that Russia had ordered about 2.000 drones form Iran and the latter agreed in order to receive support for its nuclear deal.

“Tehran agreed to deliver drones to Russia to receive support for its nuclear deal,” according to Zelensky.

At the same time, Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amirabdollahian denied The “West’s allegations” that Iranian drones were used by the Russia in its war against Ukraine.

“We have not sold and will not sell any weapons and drones to be used in the war against Ukraine, and cooperation between Iran and Russia will continue without having anything to do with the Ukraine war,” Amirabdollahian said.

On the same day, Nancy Pelosi, US House of Representatives Speaker, said that Iran makes the world less safe by sending drones to Russia to be used against Ukraine.

“We’ve been trying for a while to have a nuclear agreement with Iran and now they’re going off aiding the Russians and making the world a less safe place,” Pelosi said.

Recently, US officials said that Iran has sent trainers to Ukraine in order to help Russians in overcoming problems of a drones fleet which the Islamic country sold to Russia.
