Turkey targets town in Aleppo countryside for second successive day

ALEPPO, Syria (North Press) – Turkish forces and their affiliated armed Syrian opposition factions, known as Syrian National Army (SNA), targeted on Tuesday the vicinity of the town of Tel Rifaat in the northern countryside of Aleppo.

The shelling resulted in material losses.

A source told North Press that the Turkish forces targeted a road linking between Tel Rifaat and the village of Skikh Hilal in the northern countryside of Aleppo with seven shells. 

On Monday, Turkish forces and SNA factions shelled outskirts of a town with two shells, leaving material losses in cultivated lands.

The town undergoes successive Turkish shelling, spreading panic among residents and IDPs.

Tel Rifaat, 35 km north of Aleppo city, has been a shelter for Afrin displaced people since 2018 following the Turkish invasion of Afrin and its countryside which resulted in the displacement of about 300.000 of the original inhabitants.
