Works to restore power to Syria’s Hasakah countryside continue

SHADDADI, Syria (North Press) – Since early this week, maintenance teams have initiated the second phase to rehabilitation works of power networks in villages, south of Hasakah, northeast Syria, after six years outage.   

In July, the maintenance teams resumed working in several villages south of Shaddadi in the countryside of Hasakah where power networks were damaged due to war against the Islamic State Organization (ISIS).

Munir Ibrahim, co-chair of Power Company in Shaddadi, told North Press that they will set power transformers in several villages.

After initiating the project of restoring the power supported by Transport and Energy Office in Jazira region, villagers hope power will be restored soon.
