Damascus reveals soldier injured in Israeli aggression

DAMASCUS (Syria) – On Monday, Syria’s Defense Ministry announced a soldier was slightly injured in a recent Israeli attack on the outskirts of the capital causing damages.

State-run SANA News Agency quoted a military source as saying, “At 14:00 p.m. the Israel enemy carried out an aerial aggression with a barrage of rockets launched from occupied Palestinian territories targeting posts at the outskirts of the city of Damascus.”

“Our air defense systems dropped a number of rockets. The aggression injured a soldier and caused damages,” the source added.

Earlier on Monday, explosions were heard at the outskirts of Damascus, said to be “an Israel aggression,” according SANA. 

This comes few days after Israel targeted posts of Iranian and Syrian government forces close to Damascus.

On Sunday, Russian Reconciliation Center for Syria revealed a YLC-6M radar of Air Defense and the runway of al-Dimas airport, west of Damascus, were destroyed in the attack.

Earlier on Monday, The Jerusalem Post cited officials in the Israeli Army as saying Israeli attacks destroyed 90% of Iran’s military infrastructure and aborted the Lebanese Hezbollah entrenchment in Syria.

In the same relation, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) said explosions were caused by Israel of Iranian posts in Rif Dimashq.
