AANES delegation participates in festival in Syria’s Raqqa
QAMISHLI, Syria (North Press) – A delegation of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria (AANES) participated on Friday in the first festival of originality and heritage bearing the name of Martyr Farhad Deriki in a jockey club in the city of Raqqa, north Syria.
The festival at the regional level was initiated under the auspice of Youth and Sport Committee in the Civil Administration in Raqqa and Jayish al-Thwar sport club.
Representatives of civil and military facilities, tribal sheikhs and dignitaries and a large number of people of northeast Syria participated in the festival.
135 noble thoroughbred horses from all areas of the AANES participated in the festival. It included 12 rounds of horse races.
Each winner was honored at the end of each round, which consisted of three different spaces.
The rewards were shields presented to the first three places.
Additionally, cash prizes were presented to the winners, one million Syrian pounds to the first place, 750.000 SYP for the second and 500.000 SYP to the third.
