692 cholera cases recorded in Syrian government areas

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government announced on Saturday night the recording of 692 cholera cases in its areas.

The new infections are recorded as follows: 435 in Aleppo, 119 in Deir ez-Zor, 52 in Hasakah, 28 in Raqqa, 22 in Latakia, 11 in Suwayda, eight in Damascus, seven in Hama, six in Homs, three in Daraa, and one in Qunaitra.

The total toll of deaths reached 40 cases, distributed as follows: 34 in Aleppo, three in Hasakah, two in Deir ez-Zor, and one in Damascus.  

On September 10, Ministry of Health announced the recording of 35 cholera infections in Aleppo governorate.
