Government soldier injured in Turkish shelling of Kobani
KOBANI, Syria (North Press) – A soldier of Syrian government forces was injured on Thursday night in Turkish shelling of Kobani, northern Syria.
The village of Zormaghar, west of Kobani, was attacked with seven artillery shells. A military post of the Syrian government forces in the areas was also shelled.
The shelling caused the injury of a soldier of the government forces named Ayman Hawari, 21, where he was hospitalized.
“Last night, Turkish artillery shelled a post of the government forces in Zormaghar, west of Kobani,” a military source told North Press.
Abdurrahman Shawkat, a local from Zormaghar, told North Press, “More than seven artillery shells fell on the village.”
On October 3, the Turkish forces heavily shelled several villages in the eastern and western countryside of Kobani, injuring two residents and causing a displacement wave among the people there.
