First cholera death case reported in northwest Syria
IDLIB, Syria (North Press) – Health institutions in areas held by Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS, formerly al-Nusra Front) in northwestern Syria recorded on Thursday first death of cholera.
Early Warning Alert and Response Network (EWARN) posted on its official social media accounts the first case of cholera death.
On Wednesday, the World Health Organization (WHO) reported more than 10.000 cholera suspected infections in Syria in the past six weeks.
