Calls for protests to regain usurped properties in Syria’s Aleppo

RAQQA, Syria (North Press) – On Thursday, real estate owners in the city of al-Bab, east of Aleppo, called for Friday protests against a faction affiliated with Turkish-backed armed opposition after taking possession of their properties.

Owners of real estate said al-Bab city would witness protests close to usurped real estate calling to return properties to owners and hold corrupt people accountable, according to the New Arab.

Since 2017, the city of al-Bab in the eastern countryside of Aleppo has been under the control of the Turkish-backed opposition factions.

In September 27, a declaration was issued by real estate owners saying a leader in Malak Shah Brigade took possession of their real estate adding they refuse to sell affirming their determination to go on a protest on Friday under “Regaining Rights Friday.”

The leader has taken possession of 19 departments and 5 farms since 2017 as the authorities in the city of al-Bab remain impotence to exit him during this period.

Areas controlled by the Turkish-backed armed opposition factions witness, from time to time, offences against civilians amid inaction by institutions of the opposition Syrian Interim Government to stand up to such factions.
