Anti-Terror Units of KRG reveal outcome of Iran attack
ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – The Anti-Terror Units in Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) announced late on Wednesday the outcome of the Iranian aerial and ground shelling of a number of areas in Kurdistan Region of Iraq.
The anti- terror units said the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Crops (IRGC) carried out a series of four-layered ground and aerial attacks in which ballistic missiles and drones were used.
The attack led to 13 deaths and 58 injuries including children.
They indicated that the shelling targeted Kurdistan Freedom Party posts in Pirde and Korbi and offices of the Kurdistan Democratic Party-Iran in Koy Sanjak, the headquarters of Kurdistan Toilers’ Party in Sulaymaniyah, a camp housed by Iranian Kurds in Sulaymaniyah, and Azadi, Qalat and Amiriyah in Koy Sanjak.
The units added that at least 70 “Fateh” ballistic missiles and booby-trapped drones launched from Salasi Bawajani in a county in Kermanshah Province close to Halabja and Sardasht in West Azerbaijan close to Raperi.
Public facilities, schools, kindergartens, hygiene centers, hospitals and house were targeted.
