Syrian government records 29 deaths, 338 cholera cases

DAMASCUS, Syria (North Press) – Media office of the Ministry of Health of the Syrian government announced on Sunday the recording of 338 new cholera infections in its held areas.

The new infections are recorded as follows: 230 in Aleppo, 55 in Deir ez-Zor, 25 in Hasakah, 19 in Latakia, five in Homs and four in Damascus.

The total death toll reached 29 cases disturbed as follows: 25 in Aleppo and two each in Deir ez-Zor and Hasakah.  

On September 22, an exclusive media source told North Press that governmental hospitals prevent media outlets to enter hospitals to monitor cholera cases. They only announce the results through the Media office of the Ministry of Health.

Ministry of Health of Syrian government announced the recording of 15 cholera infections in Aleppo.
