ERBIL, KRI, Iraq (North Press) – On Sunday, media outlets in Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) said Turkish forces bombarded northern countryside of Duhok Governorate causing power outage to several villages.
The Turkish bombardment destroyed a vital bridge and cut off power to 20 villages in north of Duhok.
Local media outlets quoted a government source in the Akre province, north of Duhok, as saying “Turkish warplanes bombarded late on Saturday night areas in the outskirts of the province in which a vital bridge was destroyed.”
The source indicated the bombardment resulted in power outage to nearly 20 villages in addition to material damages caused to properties of locals in those villages.
Human losses were not reported.
